Cubs are the second of the sections that make up 3rd Shaw (St Mary’s) Scout Group and cover the age range 8 to 10½ years old. They meet between 7.15 and 8.30pm on Monday evenings during term time.

Cubs started at St Mary’s in 1944. Over the years we have seen lots of young people and adults enjoy a wide range of activities and this continues today.

The adult in charge of the pack is called the Cub Scout Leader and is supported by a number of other leaders and helpers. All are glad to help if you have any questions.

Cubs have lots of fun, try new things, play games, make friends and explore the outdoors, including a range of exciting activities. In the last few years our Cubs have been on “camps” in winter and summer.

Cubs wear a green sweatshirt and can earn badges for a range of activities. For more details of the various badges and their position on the uniform, click here.
