Flowers in Church

Flowers enhance the beauty of our church building and the offering of our worship. They are put in church each week, except during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

People are invited to contribute towards the cost of flowers in church by making a donation for a particular Sunday and giving the flowers as a thank-offering to God. This can be for a Wedding Anniversary, a Baptism, Confirmation or First Communion, a Birthday, or for the Anniversary of Death of a loved one.

A note can be added to the weekly Notice Sheet, indicating who has paid for flowers that Sunday and in whose memory, or to celebrate which occasion, they have been given.

Flower Arrangers

A small team of people do the flower arranging, and we are always looking for more people to come and help us. So, whether you are an expert, a beginner, or just willing to have a go and learn, please see Gill Woodward who organises the flower arranging team.
