Who's Who

The Anglican Parish of High Crompton, St Mary, is part of the Church of England presence in the former mill town of Shaw, in the Deanery of Oldham East, the Archdeaconry of Rochdale, and the Diocese of Manchester.

The priest in charge and the assistant curate work together with the members of the Christian community to look after our church building and its grounds, to minister to the needs of the congregation, to educate the young and the old, to pass on the faith, to care for the sick, to help people grow in prayer and deepen their spirituality, to spread the good news of Jesus, to promote the kingdom of God, and to serve the local community.

We seek to be outward-looking and ever-growing, recognising that the Church needs to be ever-changing in order to meet the needs of a changing world.
