Men's Society

The Men's Society is a men's fellowship group.

It has two main aims:

To provide a calendar of social events where the men of the parish can have fun together and develop a sense of fellowship and mutual support.

To raise funds for St Mary’s Church and St Mary's School.

Monthly Meetings

The Men's Society meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 8.00pm in the High Crompton Conservative Club. New members are always welcome!

Fund Raising

We organise and run three main fund-raising events each year:

  • The annual High Crompton Fancy Dress Beerwalk, which has been running succesfully for over 30 years.
  • The Donkey Derby, which has been taking place each year on St Mary's School field for many, many years.
  • The Grand Christmas Draw.

From our funds we provide, among other things, the brass bands for the Whit Walk and for the Christmas Carol Service.

Friendship & Community is our motto. Apart from the monthly meetings, we meet for other social activities. Recently, for example, we have been to Beer Festivals, held a very successful Golf Day, had a trip on the Beer Train, been Go Karting, gone out for a Curry Night etc.

If you fancy joining to meet new friends within the local community, or if your business would like to sponsor one of our events:

  • Come along to one of our monthly meetings
